Two cities, countless treasures.  This trip gives you a taste of Egypt and its secrets through the sights of two of its most ancient cities, Cairo and Luxor. Pyramids, tombs and temples all are waiting to be explored at a relaxed pace and leaving you hungry for more.

Day 1: Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will meet your Egypt Tour Specialists’ representative who will assist you with border control, luggage claim, and customs. You will be then transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel and get assisted with check-in.

Day 2: In the morning. you will meet your Egyptologist to guide you through the rest of the trip. As for the day, we will be exploring the magnificent Pyramids of Giza; the only present-day survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world. For almost 4000 years, this UNESCO World Heritage Site has never stopped overwhelming and inspiring travelers from all around the globe!

Explore the Valley Temple where the great Pharaoh, Khafre, was mummified four millennia ago and left us the amazing Sphinx witnessing the glory of ancient Egypt.

Afterwards, you will experience the impeccably rich history of Saqqara,  the largest and oldest cemetery in the world; consisting of over 85,000 tombs including the latest discoveries in October 2020 of 59 ancient coffins. Explore the finest tombs of the nobles whose exquisitely rich walls depict the daily life of Ancient Egyptians. Enjoy the scent of the past by wandering around the marvelous Step Pyramid of King Djoser that was the very first freestanding stone structure in history! 

After an authentic lunch in a local restaurant, sink deep into the heart of the barren desert in Dahshur, yet to admire two of Egypt’s ever best-preserved early pyramids: the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. These two monuments are yet considered to be an undisputed evidence of the architectural development preceding the proclaimed great pyramid

Day 3: First in the morning, explore the astounding Egyptian Museum dating back as old as 7,000 years, those long-gone Pharaohs have left behind a trail of mummies, dining bowls, jewelry, funeral equipment, and much more for you to savor of and disc

Later on, get in depth with the Egyptian Coptic heritage and its foundation. By tracing down the Holy Family’s first steps along with some of the oldest churches in the Middle East, you will explore the Hanging Church with its epic design and the crypt of the Holy Family. In addition to Ben Ezra Synagogue with all its treasures,Find out the truth behind a great source of knowledge on the Jewish culture and their day-to-day thoughts during World War II.

Wrap up your day by exploring the Citadel of Saladin dating to the 11th century AD.

In the evening, we will drive to Cairo airport to take our flight for Luxor.

Day 4: After breakfast, drive across to the west bank and explore the grandeur of architecture which was the hidden burial place for the famous icons of the new kingdom kings, the Valley of the Kings.

Your Egyptologist will cherry-select three tombs to visit according to your preference and personal abilities. In addition, you can opt for a ticket to visit the tomb of the golden boy, King TutAnkhAmun, and a few more.

Next, take a short ride to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. With a temple carved into the bedrock that speaks of her authority, this female ruler set a turning point in the history of women in Ancient Egypt.

On your way back, stop to visit the Colossi of Memnon where once were King Amenhotep’s figures, hearing the voice of the past whistling out at dawn carrying the legend of Memnon.

Day 5: This morning is free for you to relax and enjoy your leisure stay at your hotel.  

In the afternoon, we will be visiting the Mummification Museum.

Next, you will explore the largest religious complex that was ever built for a god in the history of mankind, the Karnak Temple that was built throughout more than a thousand years by several generations of successive pharaohs.

Day 6: This morning, we will explore the Temple of Dendera, which originally housed the famous Zodiac of Dendera. This bas-relief with human and animal figures represented the night sky, and was found on the ceiling of a chapel in the Temple of Hathor, where the mysteries of the resurrection of the God Osiris were celebrated. Egyptologists concluded this only should be interpreted as being no other than a map of the sky rather than a giant horoscope or a perpetual astrological tool!

Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, on the way  back to Luxor.(*Option to visit Abydos)

Abydos Temple: Is the Great Temple of Seti I. After several restorations, this temple is indeed one of the most complete, unique, and beautiful temples in Egypt!

With exquisite decoration and plenty of atmosphere, it is the main attraction. Even though the nearby Osireion is also wrapped in mystery and the desert views are spectacular, the Temple of Seti is structured in a remarkably great limestone as an unusual L-shape rather than rectangular. It includes seven great doorways, which were dedicated to the six major gods–Osiris, Isis, Horus, Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah– as also to Seti I himself (1294–1279 BC).

The afternoon is set for you to relax in your hotel.

Day 7: After breakfast, sail  on a traditional felucca (local sailboat) to visit Banana island. 

Relaxing in your hotel during the afternoon is set in order to take off by early evening to visit the strikingly graceful Temple of Luxor that once was connected to Karnak via the Avenue of Sphinxes, approximately 3 kilometers in length. Built in 1380 BC by Amenhotep III, the site was added to by other pharaohs later down the history; predominantly Ramses II.

Day 8: Check out of your hotel after breakfast and get a transfer to the airport where you board your return flight to Cairo.
